Boasting 1,200 years of history, this hot spring is known for some of the oldest waters in the San’in area. It is home to a unique custom Yukamuri, where you put a hand towel over your head while dousing yourself with the ladle (a unique tradition passed down from the Edo period). Running alongside the Gamou River,  the ryokan district retains a sense of the bygone days. It’s water’s health benefits are recognized nationally.

The bath tub is constantly flowing with fresh hot spring water direct from the source, which is full of potent healing attributes.
The hot spring quality is “calcium sodium – sulfate spring”. It’s especially effective for neuralgia, rheumatism, and gynecological diseases. When drank, it’s also said to heal chronic gastroenteritis and hemorrhoids.
